First Annual Auerbach & District Light Railway Open Day

If you are in the Darmstadt/Bensheim area and would like to see my trains running ‘in real’ then you would be very welcome to the first (hopefully not last) annual Auerbach & District Light Railway Open Day.

There is not so much to see in the garden itself, since the extent of track laid has not gone beyond what has already been shown in the videos. But it is a chance to see and hear the models up close.

The open day is on Saturday 30th August from 15.00 to 17.00.

If you plan to come, please email me on anmeld.williams@gmx.de so that

a) I can send you directions, in case you don’t know where our house is

b) I can lay on enough drinks and nibbles (hopefully delivered to you by train)

Hoping to see you on 30th August.

  1. Hi Adam,
I am amazed at your meticulous work and dedication to this project! Sorry I can’t be there on Aug 30 – hope it is well attended.
How are you all? Any trips over here planned? Do get in touch if you are able to squeeze in a visit.
I am off to Scotland at the end of next week to visit an old uni friend and returning via Yorkshire to see Keith’s sisters. Then of course my big trip to Antarctica gets ever closer!!
Hope your dad is keeping his head above water. Life must be a bit tough and lonely for him
    Love to you all ,
    Joey x
