Shelving complete

Peter came down again, and having learnt from our previous experience, we managed to build the remaining shelves in half the time.

As you can see, we have already started using them.

We also worked out the recessed cuts needed to support the bridge.

The bridge has also been cut to size, so the inside baseboards are almost complete.

Next priority…. empty the tent.

  2. Ha! Well done. Looks good so far. I like how you leave ’empty the tent’ at the end. Sounds like such a small thing – 3 little words…….but, for those is us who have seen the tent and it’s contents – no small feat. Good luck with that one! Ruth ; )

I’ll use this as a model for when I eventually put up a work bench in my garage. I think the tricky bit will cutting the lengths and angles accurately on the oblique members.

    1. To be honest, we were very precise when building the framework and the loaf bearing legs. When it came to the shelving supports we didn’t worry if the angle was wrong by a few degrees.
